Stolen Property Recovered

On April 12th, 2022 the Echols County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 219 Ferman Staten Circle based on information received from a Facebook Marketplace post in reference to stolen property being sold. Upon executing the search warrant, deputies located a stolen speaker box, approximately four ounces of Marijuana, five smoking devices with Methamphetamine and Marijuana residue. Arrested was Joshua Douglas Bolesta, 34 of Statenville charged with Felony Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Felony Possession of Methamphetamine, Felony Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Felony Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Related Objects, and Misdemeanor Theft by Receiving Stolen Property. The investigation is still ongoing and further charges could be pending. Sheriff Randy Courson states that the Sheriff’s Office has a zero-drug tolerance policy and encourages all citizens with information regarding drug activity, stolen property or any other crime to contact the Sheriff’s Office.
